About Kate –
Professional artist Kate worked at locations that involved ceremonial duties, mounted police and dray horse deliveries.
A particular highlight was being invited by The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery to draw behind the scenes at the last Royal Tournament in 1997. Kate’s grandfather was Harold J. Bourne who served with the Royal Field Artillery during the First World War. He recounted many heroic stories which started her interest in horse-drawn artillery.
During the event, Kate will be showing her drawings, sketchbooks and prints of her drawings of the working horses of London.
